Front/Rear Shock Kit Generation differences: *** SEE BELOW DESCRIPTIONS ***
***Gen-1 seal-heads just have an oil seal and a (thick, 2-piece), wiper-seal up against the shaft, inside the seal-head***.
***Gen-2 seal-heads have an oil seal, a shaft o-ring, and a (thin,1-piece), wiper-seal up against the shaft, inside the seal-head***.
"GEN-2" shock production began roughly in late 2005. Unfortunately, "externally" there is not an easily discernable way to tell the difference between the two, and the two Generation seal-kits are NOT interchangeable. So see description above to determine which style you have.
