Fox End Cap Options

Upgrade your FOX UTV and ATV shocks with Schmidty Racing Suspensions High-Volume Nitrogen Reservoir End Caps. Designed to replace the OEM needle-style nitrogen fill caps found on Polaris, Can-Am, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Arctic Cat, John Deere, and other FOX-equipped vehicles, these billet aluminum caps eliminate the unreliable rubber pellet fill system that commonly leaks nitrogen and makes servicing difficult.

Each cap is CNC-machined from billet 6061 aluminum, black anodized, laser engraved with the SRS logo, and features increased internal nitrogen volume, exterior cooling fins, and a recessed Schrader valve for maximum protection from rocks, dirt, mud, and trail debris. The Schrader valve allows for quick, reliable charging with any standard no-loss nitrogen chuck.

Every kit includes a new reservoir O-ring and installation instructions.

Fitment Note: These caps are available for GEN 1 (2.0") and GEN 2 (2.0" & 2.5") FOX reservoirs. Please verify your reservoir generation and diameter before ordering.

To determine whether you have 2.0" or 2.5" reservoir endcap size, you simply measure the outer diameter (OD) of the reservoir. On all of the variations, look at the pictures in the description, which shows the OEM caps up in front of the new SRS ones which will replace it. Original / old style caps shown only for reference.

Options:

GEN 1 - Fox 2.0": Podium Series

UTV/ATV shocks with a straight reservoir bore {no-step in the reservoir bore}For GEN 1 endcaps, your OEM reservoir end cap will have a removable allen head cap screw with a "pin hole" in the center. That has a white plastic BB pressed into it to plug the hole. With this style end cap you will be needing a Gen 1 2.0 cap.
  • Some of the known models that take the GEN 1 - 2.0" caps: Polaris RZR 800S (2009-12), Robby Gordon RZR 800-4, RZR 800-4, RZR XP900-2 seat, early Can-Am Mavericks & Commander, and Kawasaki Terex. (This is just a short, partial list and I am sure there are other makes / models that these will fit.)

GEN 2 - Fox 2.0": Performance Series

UTV/ATV shocks will have a "stepped" internal reservoir bore and the reservoir endcap will have a "finned" lip on the end of the cap. There will be not be any removable allen head screw. There will only be small hole in the center of the endcap, with a recessed rubber plug in the center. If your OD of your reservoir is at 2.120" and you have a slight indent where a needle is inserted to charge the shock, then you have a GEN 2 - 2.0" endcap. The newer style shocks have a torx screw instead of a needle system. These would both be Gen 2 style caps.

  • Some of the known models that take the GEN 2 - 2.0" caps: front & rear shocks of the Honda Talon 1000X-2 seat, Front shocks only on Honda Talon 1000X-4 seat(non-live valve), Polaris RZR 800S (2013-15), Yamaha RMax, Polaris RZR 900/1000S, Polaris General 900/1000S, and later model years Can-Am Mavericks. (This is just a short, partial list and I am sure there are other makes / models that these will fit.)

GEN 2 - Fox 2.5": Performance Series

UTV/ATV shocks will have a "stepped" internal reservoir bore and the reservoir endcap will have a "finned" lip on the end of the cap. There will be not be any removable allen head screw. There will only be small hole in the center of the endcap, with a recessed rubber plug in the center. If your OEM cap has an OD of your reservoir is at 2.60", then you have a GEN 2 - 2.5" endcap. The newer style caps have a torx screw instead of rubber pellet but still would be a Gen 2 style.
  • Some of the known models that take the GEN 2 - 2.5" caps: front & rear shocks of the Honda Talon 1000R and Talon 1000X-4 (live valve), rear shocks only on Honda Talon 1000X-4 (non-live valve), front & rear shocks of the Fox Edition XP1000, front & rear shocks of the XP1000 Turbo (2 and 4 seat), front & rear shocks of the Can-Am Maverick X3, and XP1000 Turbo 72" S models (2 and 4 seat). (This is just a short, partial list and I am sure there are other makes / models that these will fit.)
