Will this kit fit my Can-Am Maverick X3?
- Fits all 72" Can-Am Maverick X3 trims with factory FOX shocks, including 4-seat X3 MAX models.
- FOX or Showa? Any X3 with an "X" in the trim name (X ds, X rs, X rc, X mr, etc.) has FOX shocks. Starting in 2024, base models come with Showa shocks. If yours has Showa shocks, you need our 72" X3 Showa kit.
- 64" or 72"? Check the width on your vehicle spec label or owner's manual. 64" machines need our 64" X3 FOX kit.
- Does not fit Walker Evans shocks.
Why X3 springs sag, and what this kit fixes
Factory X3 springs settle over time, and faster with added weight like bigger tires, a roof, a stereo or passengers. As they sag, the machine loses ride height, the tender spring stacks out, and the ride gets harsh in chop while still bottoming on big hits. A true dual rate kit fixes both. Most riders recover 1–3" of ground clearance, depending on how far the factory springs have sagged.
Why the 72" FOX kit uses bigger springs
X3 models with 3.0" rear FOX shocks need a larger 3.75" ID rear spring. This kit includes the right springs for your rear shock size.
Can-Am X3 spring kit FAQ
- Does it fit the X3 MAX? Yes, all MAX models with the same width and shock brand.
- How much ride height will I gain? Usually 1–3", depending on how much your factory springs have sagged.
- Do I need new crossover collars? No. This kit uses your factory crossover collars.
- How long is the install? About 3–4 hours with basic tools. Step-by-step instructions are included.
This is a true dual-rate spring kit utilizing the factory crossover collars from Schmidty Racing Suspensions for the 72" Can Am X3 Models that feature the Fox 2.5" Front and 2.5" or 3.0" Rear shocks. These kits feature top of the line Swift Springs which replace the low quality / saggy / poor riding OEM springs.
This kit will only fit Fox shocks that came standard on the Can Am Maverick X3 Models. This kit will not work or fit Walker Evans shocks.
