Dirt King Suspension Installer Mesa AZ — Long Travel, Mid Travel & UCA Installs
Dirt King Suspension Installer — Mesa, AZ
Schmidty Racing Suspensions is a professional Dirt King suspension installer located in Mesa, AZ. If you've purchased Dirt King long travel kits, mid travel kits, upper control arms, coilovers, or performance shocks for your truck — we provide expert installation, alignment, and setup at our Mesa shop.
Dirt King makes some of the best off-road truck suspension available — but the difference between a properly installed Dirt King kit and one that's thrown together by a general mechanic is significant. Suspension installation requires knowledge of geometry, alignment, shock valving, and setup that most shops simply don't have. At Schmidty Racing, suspension is all we do — which is exactly why Dirt King owners choose us for professional installation in the Phoenix metro area.
What Is Dirt King Fabrication?
Dirt King Fabrication is a California-based manufacturer of premium off-road truck suspension systems — upper control arms, lower control arms, long travel and mid travel suspension kits, coilovers, shocks, and fabrication components for the most popular trucks and SUVs on the market.
Dirt King products are known for:
- Billet and 4130 chromoly steel construction — stronger and lighter than OEM stamped steel components
- Significant suspension travel gains over stock — mid travel kits add 2-4 inches, long travel kits add 4-8+ inches of additional front travel
- Improved suspension geometry — corrected caster, camber, and arm angles that OEM geometry compromises at lifted heights
- Compatibility with premium shock brands — Dirt King kits are designed to work with Fox, King, and their own Dirt King branded shocks
- Race-proven design — Dirt King products have been validated in desert racing including King of the Hammers
Dirt King Product Lines We Install
Long Travel Kits (LT)
Dirt King's long travel kits are the flagship product — providing maximum suspension travel gains for serious off-road performance. LT kits include upper control arms, lower control arms, performance spindles, shock mounts, and all hardware needed for a complete long travel front suspension conversion.
Long travel kits provide 4-8+ inches of additional front suspension travel depending on vehicle and configuration — dramatically improving high-speed desert performance, rock crawling capability, and overall off-road ability.
Mid Travel Kits (MT)
Mid travel kits provide a significant upgrade over stock without the full commitment of a long travel conversion. MT kits typically add 2-4 inches of additional front travel while maintaining street drivability and not requiring extensive modifications.
Mid travel kits are the most popular Dirt King product for daily driven trucks that also see regular trail and desert use — a meaningful performance upgrade that doesn't compromise street manners.
Upper Control Arms (UCA)
Dirt King offers two UCA lines — the 4130 chromoly series and the billet machined series. Both provide significant improvements over OEM UCAs in strength, geometry, and articulation. UCAs are the most common Dirt King product installed on lifted trucks — they correct geometry issues caused by factory arms at lifted heights and allow more aggressive shock travel.
Dirt King UCAs are available in ball joint and uniball configurations depending on the application and intended use.
Coilovers and Shocks
Dirt King's own branded coilovers and shocks offer excellent performance at competitive price points. We also install Dirt King kits with Fox and King shocks for customers who prefer those brands. All shock brands we install get proper setup, valving verification, and nitrogen charge before the truck leaves our shop.

Why Professional Installation Matters for Dirt King Kits
Dirt King suspension kits are engineered products that require proper installation to perform as designed. Improper installation of control arms, incorrect shock setup, or skipping alignment after installation can compromise both performance and safety.
Common installation mistakes we see from other shops:
- Incorrect torque specs on ball joints and bushings — leading to premature wear
- Shock setup not adjusted for vehicle weight and intended use — leaving performance on the table
- Alignment not performed after installation — causing uneven tire wear and handling issues
- Body mount relocation not performed when required for long travel clearance
- Reservoir mounts not properly secured — causing reservoir damage on rough terrain
At Schmidty Racing, every Dirt King installation is done by suspension specialists who understand truck geometry, shock setup, and the specific requirements of each Dirt King kit. We set your shocks up correctly, perform a full alignment after installation, and verify everything is right before your truck leaves our shop.
